The mission of the Memphis Advisory Council for Citizens with Disabilities is to collaborate with the City in fostering inclusivity and ensuring equal access to programs, services, and facilities for all residents, regardless of ability. We are dedicated to advocating for a community where everyone can thrive without barriers.

The vision of the Memphis Advisory Council for Citizens with Disabilities is to foster a city that prioritizes inclusion, accessibility, and equity, empowering individuals of all abilities to live, work and thrive in a community of choice.

Goals
- Act as a Resource: Provide and share valuable information, resources, and education to address the needs and rights of individuals with disabilities.
- Promote Accessibility and Compliance: Advocate for and ensure adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other relevant legislation, fostering a fully inclusive community.
- Challenge Stereotypes and Eliminate Barriers: Raise awareness, dispel misconceptions, and remove systemic and social obstacles to highlight the strengths, contributions, and capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
