The City of Memphis, in collaboration with our regional Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), is excited to announce the reinstatement of full funding in the amount of $8,980,000 for streetscape improvements along the middle segment of Elvis Presley Blvd.
Walker Avenue will be closed to through traffic to through traffic between College Street and Cummings Street for up to six weeks starting Monday, September 30th.
Drivers on Scott Street between Faxon Avenue and Pershing may experience delays due to an assessment of the sewer infrastructure in that area. Work will take place from October 1 to 4, 2024. Please avoid the area if possible, as intersections will be blocked in all directions.
Memphis, Tenn. September 4, 2024. The city of Memphis is taking action to address the issue of excessive illegal dumping with the announcement of a road closure on E Levi Road. The closure will be located at E Levi Rd, just east of the east-most Will Caruthers parking lot entrance and north of E Levi Rd on Sedgwick and is scheduled to last for 90 days.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will close ramps along multiple routes next week for slope mowing. The closures are necessary to keep the workers and the motoring public safe. The schedule is listed below.
